Praveen Kumar gana el oro para India en salto de altura T64 en los Juegos Paralímpicos de París

Praveen Kumar ganó la segunda medalla paralímpica de la India en la prueba de salto de altura T64 con una medalla de oro en los Juegos Paralímpicos de París.

Praveen Kumar, a high jump athlete from Uttar Pradesh, secured India’s 26th medal at the Paris Paralympics. He won the gold in the Men’s High Jump T64 event on Friday, finishing with his best attempt of 2.08 m. He also broke the Asian record.

Second Paralympic medal for Praveen

This is Praveen Kumar’s second Paralympic medal. Earlier, at Tokyo 2020, he won a silver medal in the High Jump T64 event. Recently, at the Asian Para Games, he clinched the gold medal in the same event.

India at Paris Paralympics

India has now won 26 medals at the Paralympics, including 6 gold, 9 silver, and 11 bronze medals. The country is currently ranked among the top 20 nations in the event.
