Travis Head reached his half-century within the powerplay, getting the team off to an explosive start. It began with the opener smashing Jofra Archer for three boundaries in the 3rd over. He then stepped on the accelerator as he took Sam Curran to the cleaners in the 5th over, smashing three fours and sixes each to record 30 runs in an over. Two deliveries later, he hammered another six off Saqib Mahmood to bring up his fifty in style. From being 15 off 12 deliveries, Head raced to his half-century just seven deliveries later.

Apart from the openers, the rest of the side failed to fire as Liam Livingstone, Saqib Mahmood and Jofra Archer wreaked havoc on the batting order. In reply, England were bowled out for just 151 runs, handing Australia a 28-run win over the hosts.
