However, he failed to muster runs under his belt. While he was caught behind in the first innings, Kohli made a huge blunder to ‘give himself out’ in the second innings.

Kohli, who has been struggling for consistent runs in recent times, was adjudged LBW by the on-field umpire Richard Kettleborough against Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Kohli, seemingly convinced of his innocence, immediately began walking back to the pavilion despite having a chat with his partner Shubman Gill.
However, replays showed that Kohli had indeed got an inside edge before the ball hit his pad. It had everyone get up from their seats. Rohit Sharma was shocked, Shubman Gill was disappointed, while umpire Kettleborough couldn’t hold on to his laugh.
