With eyes on revenge and comeback, Rohit Sharma and co. are wasting no time after the 1st Test and are already en route to Pune to prepare for the IND vs NZ 2nd Test.

New Zealand beat India by 8 wickets to tale a 1-0 lead over India in the three-match series. The hosts were bowled out for 46 in the 1st innings following which the visitors responded with a mammoth total on board. Rohit Sharma and co. aced their 2nd innings, with contributions coming in from each of the top-order batter. A 150-run knock from Sarfaraz Khan and a 99-run knock from Rishabh Pant saw India scale down New Zealand’s lead before the duo departed and triggered a batting collapse. The two batters had stitched together a 177-run stand. The rest of the Indian batters were dismissed quickly, sending the hosts packing for just a 107-run lead. William O’Rourke and Matt Henry were the standout bowlers for New Zealand while Ajaz Patel struck in between to deliver when it mattered the most.

Despite play starting late on Day 5 due to rain, New Zealand kept their cool. They only lost a couple of wickets before wrapping up the game. The Kiwis will next tale on India in Pune, where Rohit Sharma and co. will surely be looking to avenge the loss in Bengaluru.
