Pakistán acusa a Gary Kirsten de ‘incumplimiento de contrato’, y confía en el nuevo entrenador de pelota blanca antes de la serie ZIM

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi has claimed that Gary Kirsten “made some breaches” in his contract with the PCB, leading to his removal as the white-ball coach. The South African resigned from the post after assuming the role less than six months after he took over. The PCB chief claimed that the board was confident in finding Kirsten’s successor ahead of PAK vs ZIM series.

As per news agency PTI, PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi claimed that Gary Kirsten had broke his contract with the PCB. He assured that Pakistan will find a new white-ball coach before the PAK vs ZIM series, adding that Jason Gillespie had only taken over for the PAK vs AUS series.

“He (Gary Kirsten) broke his contract with the PCB and made some breaches. He ended the contract with us. We will have a new white ball head coach by the end of this month,” Mohsin Naqvi said.

Gary Kirsten lasted only six months as Pakistan’s white-ball coach. His first big event – the T20 World Cup – saw Pakistan exit at the group stage of the tournament, suffering losses against USA and India. Jason Gillespie, on the other hand, has just recently tasted success after facing a loss in his first Test series as coach against Bangladesh. Kirsten reportedly stepped down from his position after allegedly having heated discussions with the board and the selection committee. It is pertinent to point out that he was not in Pakistan when Mohammad Rizwan was announced as the new white-ball captain.

“The Pakistan Cricket Board today announced Jason Gillespie will coach the Pakistan men’s cricket team on next month’s white-ball tour of Australia after Gary Kirsten submitted his resignation, which was accepted,” the PCB informed in a media release.
