India jugará contra Pakistán el 30 de noviembre mientras ACC anuncia el calendario de la Copa Asia masculina U19

Following a successful Emerging Teams Asia Cup T20, we have ourselves another “Asia Cup”. Yes, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced the Men’s Under-19 (U19) Asia Cup scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), specifically in Sharjah and Dubai, commencing on November 29th.

The tournament will kick off with a highly anticipated clash between defending champions Bangladesh and Afghanistan. However, all eyes will be on the second match of the tournament, where India will lock horns with their arch-rivals Pakistan. Notwithstanding all the drama going around for the ICC Champions Trophy, this fierce rivalry will continue in Dubai. In the recent Emerging Asia Cup, Tilak Varma’s team decimated Pakistan.

Eight teams will participate in this year’s U-19 Asia Cup: India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Japan, and the UAE. These teams have been divided into two groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals. India’s group comprises of Pakistan, UAE and Japan. While Group B include Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

U-19 Asia Cup!

This will be the 11th edition of the U-19 Asia Cup, a tournament that has consistently produced young talents who have gone on to represent their countries at the highest level. The last three editions have been held in the UAE as well. India has historically been the most successful team in the tournament, winning eight out of the ten titles. However, in the recent edition, they were unexpectedly eliminated by Bangladesh, who ultimately claimed the championship.
