India cricket team fielding coach T Dilip was mighty impressed with the catches taken by Rohit Sharma and co. in the IND vs BAN 1st Test in Chennai. The coach, who was quite perplexed to find himself tagged as an ‘internet personality’ on Google, had a hearty laugh over Ashwin’s ‘celebrity fielding coach’ label for him before he began judging the catches taken.

Having been associated with the Indian team since Rahul Dravid’s era as coach, Dilip brought the spotlight on fielding with his medal distribution ceremony in the dressing room and his rigorous drills as a part of fielding practice.

The IND vs BAN 1st Test saw some sharp catches been taken at the slips by the Indian fielders. Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma were among the stars who completed some easy looking but difficult catches in the slips. Dilip heaped praise on Yashasvi Jaiswal’s improvement in fielding, hailing his brilliant catches at gully and short leg. He gave a special shoutout to Mohammed Siraj for putting in the efforts to do some brilliant fielding in the hot and humid Chennai weather.
