These were the players that Ravindra Jadeja needed to get to his 14th fifer in Tests, on the first day of the third encounter in Mumbai. Jadeja, CSKs IPL retention for 18 Cr showed, why he is still one of the best in the business, and put a batting line up under pressure, which was riding high on confidence after 2 back-to-back wins.
That fifer also meant that Jaddu now surpassed Ishant Sharma and Zaheer Khan, in the list of highest wicket-takers for India in Tests. In fact, now he has moved on to the fifth spot, and is just behind Harbhajan Singh at 417, then Kapil Dev at 434, R Ashwin at 533, and Anil Kumble at 619.
